On Jan. 5, 2021, the Student Media Poll was founded. Today, we celebrate our first birthday! Here are a few ways we’re celebrating the one-year anniversary:

The SMP announced its new leadership team members today, bringing in voting members to help the Poll in new roles as the organization continues to grow in 2022 and beyond.

Also announced today is the creation of the SMP Podcast Network, managed by Jack Duffey, which will be see several new podcasts created as well as new initiatives for previously-existing shows, now all under the SMP Podcast Network umbrella.

Now 365 days after the project began, founder and director Patrick Felts and AD of Polling Operations Jackson Janes take a behind-the-scenes look back at the inaugural year of the SMP on the latest SMP Podcast.

SMP members are encouraged to share their best memories of the Poll on Twitter using the hashtag #SMPOneYear.
