Week 8: Close calls prevent major shakeup in SMP Top 5, chaos reigns in rest of poll

No. 2 Cincinnati and No. 4 Oklahoma nearly hurt their chances at the College Football Playoff in close wins this weekend in games against Navy and Kansas.

Upsets for Penn State, Coastal Carolina and NC State hurt their poll ranking, with many teams moving up from last weeks’ poll following their losses.
